Remodeling can feel like a complex puzzle, but our goal is to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible. This simple guide includes practical tips and smart recommendations to help you get the best results with fewer steps—saving you time, money, and even thousands of dollars on your project.
Visit our showroom to explore a wide variety of designs and colors—feel free to take photos for inspiration! Our specialized designer will measure your kitchen and create a layout tailored to your space. From there, you'll receive a 3D rendering, detailed layout, and final quote—all part of our outstanding service.
Once your deposit is received, we’ll schedule the installation, including countertop templating, backsplash, flooring, and demolition. If you're replacing flooring, it typically happens before the cabinets. Your all-wood cabinets are delivered just 1–3 days prior to installation, and our highly qualified team ensures a seamless install, usually within 1–2 days depending on complexity.
The next day, we’ll take precise measurements for granite, quartz, stone, or laminate countertops. Within a day or two, we’ll contact you to schedule the countertop installation, which takes 1–2 weeks for fabrication. Countertops are installed and sealed in a single day, followed by the backsplash—another day. Afterward, our team will connect plumbing for your sink, faucet, dishwasher, and fridge—so you can start cooking and enjoying your new space right away!
We recommend painting your kitchen last to avoid touch-ups after demo, delivery, and installation. This ensures your new kitchen has a polished, flawless finish.
Now it's time to invite friends and family over—and start making unforgettable memories in your beautiful, expertly remodeled kitchen.
First, consider this important question: Are you planning to replace the floors? If so, this should be your first step after demolition and the removal of old cabinets. Delaying floor replacement until after cabinet installation can lead to additional charges from flooring companies, as they may need to cut around your new cabinets—compromising the outstanding results you deserve.
The most effective and seamless cabinet installations happen on a stripped subfloor or brand-new flooring. If you plan to wait a few years before replacing your floors, a solid installation is still possible. However, be aware: removing the old flooring later can lead to complications. Cabinets installed over old flooring and shims may become too tall in areas with high spots, which may require custom-made shoe molding to conceal gaps at the bottom.
If floor replacement is postponed, it’s crucial to protect your investment. Make sure the flooring crew knows not to remove the shims beneath your cabinets. These shims support the base cabinets, and if removed, your cabinetry may shift or drop over time. This is a common issue—so a quick reminder can preserve the integrity of your remodel.
Shims will be strategically positioned in key areas to ensure your cabinet—whether it’s a base, wall, or pantry cabinet—is perfectly level. Because walls and floors are rarely flawless, this specialized technique is essential to achieving seamless alignment. Our expert installers use shims to deliver outstanding precision, ensuring your cabinets not only look beautiful but function flawlessly for years to come.
Existing plumbing can sometimes leave a large, unsightly hole in the floor of your brand-new sink cabinet. To avoid this, it’s a smart move to replace old shut-off valves under the kitchen sink. Over time, these valves can seize or leak—especially if they haven't been used in years. Brittle plastic or rusted steel are common issues we encounter in older kitchens.
Upgrading to new plumbing lines and shut-off valves ensures a cleaner, more seamless sink installation, delivering both visual appeal and functional reliability. If you choose to keep the old plumbing, you may end up with a large square hole in your new sink cabinet floor. But don't worry—we have specialized solutions for that, including our Sink Liner, which provides a clean and polished finish even when working with less-than-perfect plumbing.
Typically made of plastic or silicone rubber, are designed to prevent chemical spills from leaking under the sink. However, if your plumbing water lines originate from the floor, the effectiveness of the liner is compromised, as the plumbing lines will penetrate through it. This situation transforms the liner into merely a cosmetic solution, masking the large opening at the bottom. Nevertheless, installing a liner does enhance the overall appearance, providing a more polished and finished look.
The most economical choice is to retain the existing plumbing lines and install a sink liner. Alternatively, you can opt to replace the water lines, either before the cabinet installation or afterward by running new lines and shut-off valves from the basement. If you find this information unclear, please consult our designer upon their arrival for measurements; they will be happy to clarify the options in greater detail.
